Portfolio

My work is diverse in media and dimension, depending on the subject matter. Currently I have been focusing on sculpture and installation and my materials range from natural found objects, such as rocks and wood to cast media such as Matrix G, gypsum, concrete, metal and paper. The subject matter of my work is always evolving as I evolve, it is contextual to the influences in my life. In the past, my work addressed current Aboriginal issues. Within the last seven years the subject matter of my work reflects my experiences as a contemporary Aboriginal person.

The exploration of documenting my experience led to a deeper exploration of the self and the collective as it pertains to Aboriginal identity on a conscious and unconscious level. This psychological and sociological examination engendered a philosophical metaphysical inquiry into being, place, and time. What are my links to the past and present? The works in my portfolio explore this continum.
